Six years of touring across North America and Europe, four critically-acclaimed CDs, a Canadian Juno nomination and two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations have established John Reischman and the Jaybirds as a top-flight band in bluegrass music. With a unique traditional sound, the mandolin master and his band are known for powerful original songs and instrumentals, soaring vocals and refreshing interpretations of songs from the old-time repertoire presented with their own bluegrass twist. |

The Blue Canyon Boys are a premier bluegrass band of the Rocky Mountains and winners of the 2008 Telluride Bluegrass festival band contest. They were selected to represent the United States and bluegrass music at the 14th annual Rainforest World Music Festival in Sarawak, Malaysia, which has consistently been rated in the top 25 International Festivals by Songlines Magazine. Blending an array of incredible vocal styles from the brother duet to four part gospel harmony along with hard-driving instrumental proficiency, this energetic band has created an infectious brew of Colorado bluegrass. (Calgarians might recognize banjo player Chris Elliott from his appearance last year with Spring Creek.) |
