Foothills Bluegrass Music Society presents: The Wardens live at The Irish Cultural Society in Bowness (6452 35 Ave NW, Calgary AB)!

Join us Saturday, February 21, 2025. Doors open at 7:00PM, show starts at 7:30PM.

The Wardens stories and mountain music rise from the very land they’ve protected as Canadian national park wardens collectively for over 50 years.

The band have performed widely across western Canada and in the US from Alaska to California. They've shared the stage with Blue Rodeo, Pharis & Jason Romero and Ian Tyson and performed at Folk Alliance International, Canmore Folk Festival's main stage and for a royal audience in Edmonton, Alberta.

The Wardens consists of Scott Ward (songwriter, fingerstyle guitar), Ray Schmidt (songwriter, upbright bass, mandolin, guitar), and Scott Duncan (fiddle).

Please note that this concert will be at the Rosscarrock Community Hall, and not the Irish Cultural Society.

7x CFMA winner/5x JUNO nominee mando-maestro Andrew Collins is joined by fellow Trio string-meisters Adam Shier and James McEleney to showcase a popular collision of folk, new acoustic roots, chambergrass and jazz, not tomention a dizzying number and energetic interplay of instruments on stage.This dynamic genre-hopping show is propelled even further by Andrew’s captivating lead vocals paired with James’ and Adam’s soaring harmonies.

Their most recent offering of 2024, The Rule of Three continues in the Trio’s playful exploration into musical adventure, was nominated for three Canadian Folk Music Awards.
