Join us Saturday, October 19, 2024, doors at 7:00PM, show at 7:30PM.Canada's roots/swing duo Over The Moon are totally immersed in real cowboy country. When you set up home in the foothills of Alberta's Rocky Mountains, it's inevitable there will be a strong sense of place and the rhythms of the land when you start to play music.

The couple's debut album, mostly written and recorded on the ranch where they live, reflects the pulse of life living in a territory that is rugged and beautiful. Their music is a wild ride from 40's western swing and Appalachian old-time, to cowboy blues, all featuring their meant-to-be vocals and a wide array of acoustic instruments.

‍Suzanne Levesque and Craig Bignell are both award winning multi-instrumentalists and vocalists that have spent most of their lives as studio and live performance musicians for other artists. After discovering their near perfect blend of voices, often moving people to tears upon hearing them sing together, they decided to try their own project and Over the Moon was born.

This is our first ever show at Festival Hall and we hope you will enjoy this intimate and centrally located venue, also please note we have changed our ticketing service to showpass.com for 2024. In 2001, roots/folk musician John Wort Hannam quit his teaching job and spent 10 months depleting his savings while sat at his kitchen table, wearing a lucky hat, writing his first ten songs. Eighteen years later, with a few feathers in that lucky hat that include a JUNO nomination and a Canadian Folk Music Award for Best Album of the Year, he’s got a new energy fuelled by a new band, a new sound, and a ton of new songs.
